The short answer

The FPO mark was a mandatory certification under the Fruit Products Order, 1955 for jams, juices, pickles and other fruit and vegetable products. That order was subsumed into the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and fruit product manufacturers now need an FSSAI licence and must meet FSSAI product standards and labelling rules instead of obtaining a separate FPO licence.
