Frequently asked questions
I have no idea which DSC to buy. What should I do?
Use the "Not sure what to buy?" box at the top. Pick what you want to do, such as GST or tender bidding, and the form selects the right type. If your case is unusual, email sales@leegal.in with your PAN type (individual or company) and the portal name.
What is the difference between Individual and Organization DSC?
An Individual DSC carries only a person's name. An Organization DSC also carries the company or firm name, and is needed when the filing is on behalf of that entity.
Sign, Encrypt, or Sign and Encrypt?
Sign proves who you are and is enough for GST, ITR and MCA. Encrypt protects documents in e-tenders. If a tender portal says "signing and encryption certificate", choose Sign and Encrypt.
Do I need to buy a USB token?
Yes, unless you already own a compatible token. Under CCA guidelines a DSC is downloaded and stored on a USB crypto token. Choose "I already have a token" only if yours is compatible with new issuance.
Which documents are needed?
Individuals: PAN and Aadhaar, a photo and mobile number linked to Aadhaar. Organizations: also the entity PAN, an authorisation letter for the signatory, and registration proof such as GST certificate or incorporation certificate.
How long does it take?
After successful verification, most certificates are issued the same working day. Token delivery time depends on your location.
What does the price include?
The certificate for the validity you pick, GST at 18%, delivery, and the token if you choose to buy one. The total in the order box is the final amount.
Can I renew or fix a mistake in my DSC?
A DSC cannot be edited after issue. For wrong details a new certificate is issued. Renewal is a fresh order made before the old one expires.
