SA8000 is an international social accountability standard covering child labour, forced labour, health and safety, freedom of association, discrimination, disciplinary practices, working hours, remuneration and a management system. Indian manufacturers, especially exporters of apparel, textiles, leather and footwear, get certified by accredited certification bodies after implementing the standard and passing audits.
